How Cora had managed to get involved in a jewellery store robbery with some random kid and also the literal Underboss? The hoists were uncomfortable and definitely not as cute as she wanted to look robbing a store, but it was still pretty exciting to be sneaking in like this, like a movie or something! If they didn't have to dress so as to not be flashy and all that, she would've made a whole moment out of this. Catsuit! Bejewelled balaclava! The works![break][break]

As fun as this all seemed, though, she was at least somewhat aware of the need for secrecy. It wasn't as if they could have just gotten a hold of some strong ground-type and dug through the floor - that would have attracted way too much attention.[break][break]

"So what exactly are we looking for in there again? Can we take just a couple earrings or something, too? - Maybe a necklace?"

Cora Valentine was right. The harness was mega unflattering.

"What's the point in stealing something if we can't haul out the style points?" Was all Chu-e answered, a shrug given. He tended to not care if people questioned him, so long as it wasn't just downright disrespectful. This wasn't like Kanto, where even making a small joke could get your tongue cut out.

"The place is also cased with special Klefki locks, so we couldn't break in the doors even if we wanted. But thiiiiis," He motioned around him, to the roof where they were about to drop in. His Machamp would hold the ropes for them so they didn't 'splat' on the ground. "This is the weak spot."

Motioning to both Cora and @kris, he pointed to the very back- a pile of Mega Stones on display, stacked into a small pyramid. Also behind extra secure glass and sure to trip some type of alarm when they grabbed them.

"You can grab whatever you want extra, but only after we get our hands on those. Kid, you almost ready?" He glanced over at Kris, brow raised.

Goddamn, these harnesses were an eyesore. It did bring a hint of nostalgia to Kris' mind of their early robbery days, but that's the only positive thing they could think of at the moment.

"Hey, at least it's not making your ass look even flatter than usual like it does mine."

Kris commented in response to Cora Valentine and Chu-e Choi 's words. Kris listened to the underboss' words as they said and finished prepping their Porygon squad hacking of the building's security system-"Yeah, I'm about ready---and ready!" Kris said as they received a text message from Alpha the Porygon telling them that the system had gotten temporarily hacked to have its security system turned off for five minutes. "We have five minutes before the alarms will turn back on. This place has some hardcore digital defense, But I'm better." Kris said with pride in their voice.

"I'm ready to go in when y'all are." That's Kris for "If I messed up, y'all deal with it."

As the Underboss gestured around the roof, Cora followed his gesticulation like an intrigued puppy. He was right! Well, that is, she assumed. Cora was no architect, and certainly no Underboss. To be fair, Chu-e could have said the weak point was wearing penguin suits and army-crawling into through the vents and she still would've believed him.[break][break]

She spotted the Mega Stones as Chu-e pointed them out, then turned her gaze to Kris instead. She almost wanted to ask if they wanted her to just go ahead and do it on her own, considering Kris seemed so small and the Underboss always looked... so unhealthy. The last thing she needed was someone falling down dead during a mission or having a literal heart attack if anything went wrong.[break][break]

Once they had the all-clear from Kris - who had apparently shut down the security system with the ease that Cora plaited her hair in the morning - she stretched a little in preparation. Five minutes to get down, grab those stones and get pulled back up. Seemed simple enough. And if they were quick enough, Cora could snatch herself a veritable feast of shiny new accessories![break][break]

"I'm ready too." A quick glance at the Underboss. "Machamp time?"

"Machamp time!" Chu-e half sang out, leaping into the hole in the ceiling. He laughed as he fell, his stomach swooping, before the rope tightened as his Machamp kept a secure grip. So, in the end, Chu-e was held in the air, not splatting like a ground-type taking a dive. Just to be #Extra, Chu-e leaned back, kicking a leg up as he was gently lowered.

"Water's fine!" He called up to Cora Valentine and @kris, unclasping himself from the rope before he started to make his way towards the Mega Stones.

But, there was a noise of something falling over. Chu-e paused and glanced around... but... nothing. Frowning, Chu-e ended up shrugging and going to mess with the physical lock on the glass.

"Machamp time!"

Kris cheered out after the underboss gave the go-ahead as Kris jumped down the rope supported by the Machamp while not as crazy and drastic as Chu-e Choi 's methods, but they reached the floor and unclasped themselves, and stepped down on the ground.

Kris looked up at Cora Valentine and said "It's all chill down here-" Suddenly, while Kris was about to make their way towards Chu-E, Kris heard something fall. Odd. Kris looked over at Chu-E and Cora and said-"I double-check something-" Kris said as they unleashed their Klefki and Porygon-Z just in case. "Delta go help, the boss man, Omega help me check something." Kris commanded the Klefki to Chu-e to help with the lock and their porygon-Z to deal with an unknown variable.Maybe Kris overlooked something while checking everything for this mission. Human error is possible even for somebody like themselves. Kris would look around each corner for the source of the sound.

Machamp time, indeed.[break][break]

Cora was used to being thrown around by big muscled strangers, but a pokémon was a new and slightly weirder situation. Still, she descended with grace and a slightly less dramatic tilt than Chu-e did. She managed to land without falling flat on her ass, though, which made for a pretty positive situation.[break][break]

She heard the fall too, though since nobody else seemed to have that much of a reaction to it, she also moved on. The stars aligned, it seemed - with the Underboss sorting out the whole lock situation and Kris taking out the technological side of things, Cora had little to do beside stand there looking beautiful. [break][break]

She re-adjusted her harness a little so that the wedgie situation was less urgent, checked her nails, then sidled up beside the ever-teeny-tiny Kris, who looked only more so besides Cora, considering she was a model-ready 5'11"[break][break]

"What was that noise, hun?"

Damn, no one appreciated dramatics anymore. Oh well. Chu-e just shrugged in answer to Cora Valentine as he plucked a lock-pick set from his pocket. He would need a little time to jimmy this open...

When @kris called out his pokemon to search, another noise, from the other side of the room. A pen hit the ground and would roll to bounce off the boy's foot.

It was all quiet, though, until the 'click' of the lock popping open. Chu-e grinned and stood up to his own 5'8" height, shorter than Cora but he had no shame in his height. "Alright! Grab the bag and we can load these in!" Flipping the box open, Chu-e reached in and cupped his hand over the very top Mega Stone.

But a hand reached out and grabbed his wrist.

"Ah."

A Haunter, actually four of them, levitated around, grinning at the trio of would-be thieves.
